For a parent who is mostly independent but no longer safe living alone. A room of their own, staff a few steps away, and a doctor who reviews the plan every fortnight.
Assisted living sits between living at home and a nursing ward. It is for someone who can still dress, talk, decide and enjoy company — but who has started to fall, forget medication, or eat badly when no one is watching.
Most of our residents arrive after a specific event: a fall, a hospital discharge, a spouse passing away, or a family relocating abroad. They do not need a hospital bed. They need meals they will actually eat, medicines given on time, a bathroom that will not put them on the floor, and other people to talk to before the day is over.
If your parent needs bedside clinical care around the clock, or is wandering and at risk, memory care or home nursing is the safer fit — and we will tell you so during the assessment rather than after you have signed.
Caregivers help with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility and transfers, and they sit with residents through meals. Nurses hold and administer medication, take vitals twice a day, dress wounds, and monitor blood sugar and blood pressure. The doctor reviews each chart fortnightly and rewrites the plan when something changes.
What we do not do is decide for your parent. Residents choose when to wake, what to watch, whether to join the morning session, and who visits. Restraint is never used. Doors are not locked on anybody in assisted living.

Rooms come private, twin-share or deluxe. All have an adjustable bed, a call bell within reach, grab rails, a wardrobe that locks, and a window that opens. Families are encouraged to bring furniture, prayer mats, photographs and bedding from home; the room that looks like their old bedroom is the room they settle into fastest.
One rate covers the room, all meals and tea, nursing and caregiving, housekeeping and laundry, the daily activity programme, and the fortnightly doctor review. Medication, diagnostics, physiotherapy blocks, hospital transport and one-to-one night sitting are billed on top, itemised, and quoted before we start.

THE ROOM
Every room is fitted for safety first: grab rails, a level threshold into the bathroom, a call bell at the bedside and a second at the toilet, night lighting on a motion sensor, and a bed that lowers far enough that a fall is a short one.
Then we hand it over. Bring the almirah, the armchair, the wall clock they always looked at. Housekeeping works around whatever you put in it.
